EU Medtech Reform: Can We Hope For Harmony in Quintet Of Trilogues?

Executive Summary
The EU has set five trilogues - meetings of the European Commission, the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament - between now and early December to debate the medtech regulatory reform proposals. These meetings will discuss different aspects of the respective responses of the parliament and council to the commission’s proposals for a medical device regulation (MDR) and in vitro diagnostics regulation (IVDR). If all goes well, adoption of both could take place in Q2 or even Q1 2016.
