Senate Votes Millions More For NIH Precision Medicine, BRAIN Initiatives

The Senate Appropriations Committee approved an appropriations bill for 2017 that would increase funding for the Precision Medicine Initiative and the BRAIN Initiative at the National Institutes of Health, and eliminate funding for the Independent Payment Advisory Board. Overall, NIH would see a $2bn increase over 2016 funding levels.
